Transport links in Los Monteros are excellent with direct access to the N340. The nearest train station is in Fuengirola which you can get to from Malaga airport. Trains are relatively cheap, regular and reliable. You can get a bus From Fuengirola bus station, (next to the train station) directly to Los Monteros – but the easiest way to get to here, would be to hire a car.
